Many people who read the Quality Logo Products blog are not located anywhere near our home town city of Aurora, Illinois; therefore, this post may or may not affect you. But for those of us who commute from Aurora’s West suburbs everyday, the new Eola Road exit is going to be open VERY soon!
According to the pretty flashing signs that are plastered all over Route 88, drivers will be able to use the Eola Road ramp in late November. Why is this exciting news? Well, because commuters living in the Oswego area (and surrounding communities like Montgomery) will now be able to access 88 without going miles and miles out of their way to get there. Granted, it’s still a short trek from areas like Oswego, but it’s a heck of a lot better than driving all the way to the Orchard Rd. ramp!
If you are planning on using the Eola Road exit when it opens, keep in mind that it is only set up for I-Pass users. So, if you don’t have an I-Pass, you are out of luck as far as this ramp goes. But, the good news is that it’s incredibly easy (and CONVENIENT) to buy an I-Pass. If you’re a daily commuter, you can save a lot of time by having one, and it may be worth your consideration.
Regardless of your I-Pass preferences, the new Eola Road exit just may be a good trade-off for all of the horrible Route 88 construction lately….okay, maybe not. But I think it’s a solid step in the correct direction. As much as I love visiting big cities, I’d never want to live in one; give me a suburb any day of the week! ![]()
Enjoy the new Route 88 convenience (if it affects you)! I know I will.

The exit is now open! I was driving down I-88 the other day and BAMB, there it was in all it’s glory. 30 minutes a day of my life have graciously been given back to me thanks to the Illinois Tollway System!
It works now
