We’re Not Saying “Good Bye”, We’re saying “Until You Return”: A QLP Buddy is Leaving for 6 Weeks!

You haven’t seen much written by our resident 1950’s nostalgia guy Eric (or as he’s affectionately called here; E-Lab) lately, but rest assured he’s still here at Quality Logo quietly working away in our data entry department. Well, he was. Don’t worry, this blog doesn’t have any bad news in it; he’ll be back in July to tackle uploading product pictures and making sure our customers can see all the awesome items we have available.

If he’s not here, where is he until July? Great question! He’ll be in beautiful North Carolina at the Highlands Playhouse playing the role of Buddy Holly in “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” from June 13-30, 2013. Yes, that Buddy Holly who changed the music landscape forever. To say we’re excited and proud of him is an understatement.

We couldn’t just give him a card and a handshake and send him on his way. No sir, that’s not QLP’s style. In honor of his last day, we threw him a party complete with snacks and a cake suitable of his awesomeness.

Everyone in Content, Data Entry, IT and Media brought in a little something to share. The spotlight was the cake though!

Can't get away without a picture like this!

Can’t get away without a picture like this! Eric was a great sport about the whole thing.

In QLP fashion, whoever we're celebrating cuts the cake or dishes up the ice cream or whatever is being handed out. Not sure why this tradition started...

Had to show off these Teddy Grahams with one broken leg each. Eric's manager, Jeff, individually broke each leg the night before (with gloves on too!)

We aren’t just going to miss E-Lab because he’s a great coworker, but we’re going to miss him for a lot of reasons! His Christoper Walken impression is spot-on and if you ever need advice on camping, he’s your man. Selfish reasons aside, we’re thrilled he’s living out his passion for acting and doing what he loves. Until July, we’ll miss you buddy! Be safe and we can’t wait to hear about all your crazy adventures when you get back!
