Stocking Stuffers and Personalized Gifts for Budget-Conscious Shoppers
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for many reasons: we have wonderful parties with family and friends, there is bountiful and delicious food, we do a ton of guilt-less shopping, and everyone is usually in an all-around good mood. Why do we do all the shopping and why are we in such great moods? Because of presents! Dear old Santa Claus brings us beautifully-wrapped presents under the tree on Christmas Eve, but sometimes the gifts he puts in the stockings are even more exciting.
Digging into my stocking was my favorite part of Christmas morning as a kid, and it still is now. Great gifts come in small packages and some of my favorite stocking stuffers are jewelry, candy, gift cards, games, and gadgets. If you want to impress your loved ones this year with stellar stocking stuffers, I made a sweet little guide for you with the most popular games and gadgets of the season, along with some fun promotional products to accompany them!
When deciding which gift to get for the loved ones on your list, the best strategy is to tap into their lives and find out what they could use in their everyday routines.
For travel-happy friends: If you have a friend who loves taking trips but may not be the best with navigation, their ideal gift may be a Roadside Auto Set set or a GPS unit (if you’re willing to spend a bit more). They will appreciate the thought you put into it and possibly ask you to join them on their next adventure! A great additional gift is the Lens Cleaner Visor Clip to keep the GPS screen easily visible and in tip-top condition.
For the avid readers in your life: A Kindle or e-reader is sure to top the charts, but it could definitely be out of range for a stocking stuffer. However, you could easily include a Soft Sided Electronics Pouch or a personalized media sleeve in their stocking to provide them with easy storage and on-the-go convenience. A flexible waterproof keyboard would be a good choice, too!
For the techies and gamers on your list: Arguably, the hottest gift you could possibly get your tech-savvy relatives or buddies (if they don’t already have one) is the Apple iPad. However, unless you are willing to shell out over $500 for the device, it probably won’t make it into the stocking this year. Don’t feel too bad, because you have alternatives to this choice! For a bit of fun without the hefty price tag, try shopping for handheld gaming devices like the SupaBoy (a throwback SNES controller handheld system) or an On-the-Air Desktop Speaker (it’s a computer speaker and VoIP telephone that looks like an old-fashioned microphone). Also, you could go with awesome promotional items like USB People (people-shaped USB drives) for an unforgettable gift exchange.
To please the artsy people on your list: A digital camera is sure to brighten the holiday of any creative mind. Be warned, though: there are many different brands and styles to choose from, so it can get a little overwhelming. Two main things to keep in mind when camera-shopping are resolution (the more megapixels the better) and lens size. If you think your artistic friend/family member will use the camera more for social gatherings, then get them a smaller camera that works well in low lighting. If you think they might use it more for scenic photography, then choose a camera with a larger lens and a faster response time (generally these will be larger). Also, another great gift to add with the camera would be a Insignia 7-Inch Digital Frame to show off all of their great pictures!
If you have a lot of people to buy for but have a limited budget to work with, here is a short list featuring cool and fun little promotional products that are sure to please everyone!
I hope this has given you a few ideas on what to get those super-special people on your Christmas list this year! Remember to put it in a stocking, too, because the best gifts come in small packages!
