Top 10 Promotional Items of September 2012

Where the heck did September go? It doesn’t seem like it’s been a full month since our previous bestselling promo items list!

If time truly does fly when we’re having fun, then QLP must be having more fun than ever. Here’s what’s been going on behind the scenes since the last time we saw each other. (Hint: Back to school giveaways have been seriously popular lately, and one look at this month’s list should give that away!)

Best-Selling Promo Items of September 2012:

If that Cinch-Up Drawstring Backpack (#1) doesn’t get kicked off its throne soon, we’re going to have a crazy streak going! It held steady in the top spot even though Round Stress Relievers (#2) jumped up two spots and Atlas Nonwoven Grocery Totes (#3) jumped up three spots since last month. In a surprising turn of events, our Medium Eco-Friendly Non Woven Tote Bags (#4) moved up a whopping FIVE spots from August’s rankings to prove they’re still worthy contenders.

We also had a few comeback kids this month, with the Custom Pencils (#6), Mood Color Changing Pencils (#8), and Santa Fe Aluminum Water Bottles (#10) showing their pretty faces after dropping from the list for a bit. Also, Collapsible Koozie Can Coolers (#5) and Mood Stadium Cups (#7) decided to keep their numbers consistent, but the Promotional Stadium Cups (#9) got served with one spot lower than the last list.

These products are showing great promise from the sidelines and may pop up on this list soon:

As I’m typing this with my yellow foam fingers, a chorus of coughs and sneezes rings through the Quality Logo Products office. Does that sound like your workplace? It’s the season for feeling under the weather, so that’s why we weren’t shocked to see Sani-Mist Pocket Sprayers climbing up the trend list this month. If everyone had their own sanitizer, then maybe colds wouldn’t get so out of hand!

Speaking of hands, Small Football Squeezies also earned a place on our list this time. Football is in full swing until the beginning of next year, and these stress relievers have been flying off the shelves for everything from homecomings to little league sponsorships. And we can’t forget about the reliable Storm Pen, either. We’d love to see these bright retractable pens crack the top 10 soon, because they’re one of our favorite promo items!

That’s all we’ve got, folks. Until next time, keep on keepin’ on!

Did any of these trends or bestsellers surprise you? Were you aware that back-to-school promotions were this huge? Which promotional items are you rooting for in upcoming lists?

What happened to the neon rubberized sunglasses?!?! :(

…soon be to replaced on the list with promotional showshoes!

Come on, Storm Pen! That’s one of my favorite personalized pens on our site.

it should be interesting to see how next month shakes out after our huge sale that’s going on right now! I want to see that backpack dethroned!

Mood pencils! I always love me some color-changing stuff. Informative list as usual, Bubba. :) Go Storm Pen go!

Hey Jill! So someone recently gave me one of those blue drawstring backpacks with our company logo on it. I don’t think it’s the same one exactly, but a backpack as a promo item is really cool. My son loves it and for me it’s one of the better things to giveaway out there (because it’s so useful).

    Hope you’re doing well!

Hi, Tia! So good to see you here!

All I can say is there’s definitely a reason why those drawstring bags are so popular. Heck, when I got a free one from my alma mater, I used it until it was in shreds. They’re perfect for kids because they don’t weigh much and they’re easy to clean, too. Thanks for sharing your story, I love hearing “real life” accounts of promo items!

I’ve been doing really well, and hopefully you can say the same. I’m super psyched that BizChickBlogs is back up and running now. :)

Bags – in general – are always a hit, especially for grocery shopping. Not only do you have a sturdier bag, but since you don’t have to get new bags every time you go to the store, you don’t wind-up with a mountain of plastic bags sitting at home. Win-win situation, right there.
