How can consultants get the people at the companies they're assigned to help to listen to the news and ideas they want to share? Well, they say a spoonful of sugar makes medicine tolerable, or something like that. We don't advocate shoving sugar into your clients' mouths (because that's just weird), but giving them promotional products might help sweeten the whole consulting arrangement.
While you're working on the clients' image, you can make sure that your own business image is looking good with items that show how helpful your consulting firm can be. Pens and pencils are especially important. When people are taking notes in brainstorming sessions, they'll need writing instruments to take down all those good ideas you have. Note pads and highlighters also are great for all their daily organizational needs.
When it comes time for you the consultant to find more clients or learn new tips for working with the current ones, there's no better place to do it than at a trade show, where items like custom tote bags will make your name stand out. It's great to help other companies do great business, but don't forget to help yours do the same!
