After the combination transporter/warp core malfunction, I didn't think my crew and I would ever see Earth again. It turns out that we did, just not the Earth we expected. We materialized on the planet and quickly realized that we had traveled in time. I picked up a custom Enterprise Pen from a local bank -- pens and banks, our ship historian would be glad to see them -- and saw the year printed on the side along with an advertisement for a local festival.
I know that taking back artifacts from the past wasn't the best of ideas, but I couldn't help it. The shiny silver barrel was fascinating and I sent back an ensign to grab one of each of the four grip colors. Don't worry, he was wearing blue and is fine.
What delighted me most about this personalized pen was the fact that it had four ink colors all in one pen. I didn't realize that the human race possessed such technology at this point in our history. One can write in black, blue, green, or red ink just by pressing down the matching color plunger!
I imagine that any business that put their logo on the side of this pen went on to be a huge success. After all, who could ignore such an intriguing pen? Certainly not the business' clients. I certainly hope that other companies took advantage of this low cost pen and ordered many of them from Quality Logo Products. It would've only been logical.
