The Good: Packed with great tools, convenient size.
The Bad: Appeals mainly to women, blue only, 2 color imprint maximum.
The Bottom Line: Although the audience and customization options are limited on the Designer Manicure Kit, it is a quality item that clients will enjoy.
Design (8/10): (top)
The case for the personalized Designer Manicure Kit is made from sturdy plastic, which ensures it won’t get crushed within a purse, backpack, or briefcase. The tools inside are further protected by another, thinner plastic casing, although they can be removed and placed into the case with additional items. The items inside are all of good quality, and they can be used daily for nail maintenance and last as long as comparable items. The imprint on the case is very clean, and even thin lines making up sans serif text does not bleed into nearby lines or distort. The halves of the case fit snugly together and pull easily apart with the plastic inner case and tools inside.
Features (6/10): (top)
One distinctive place where the Designer Manicure Kit falls short is the customization options. The item is only available in blue and can only be imprinted with two colors. Although many businesses and organizations will have no problem working within these parameters, others may want more variety in their selections. The tools in the customized Designer Manicure Kit include manicure scissors, nail clippers, a nail buffer, a cuticle tool, and a nail file. Each of these fit securely into molded spots the smaller plastic case within the larger unit.
Price (9/10): (top)
These items purchased separately at a drugstore will certainly run much more than the single price of the customized Designer Manicure Kit. Plus, you’ll have the option of getting your own logo imprinted on it to increase brand awareness. If the client breaks or loses any of the manicure tools, the casing with your imprint can still function as a case for eyeglasses, reading glasses, or sunglasses. Other comparable items include the Translucent 5 Piece Manicure Pouch, which is less expensive than the Designer Manicure Kit and offers more colors, but it doesn’t come with the hard case. A higher end item includes the Manicure Set Multi-Tool, which is more expensive, has more colors, and may appeal more to men, as it looks more like a Swiss Army knife or multi-tool.
A fantastic add-on to spa packages and salon gifts, this item will find a female audience very easily. The Designer Manicure Kit makes an excellent membership incentive, raffle prize, or giveaway, and it will put your logo, name, and/or contact information in front of a potential client on a daily basis. If you’re looking to raise awareness or funds for women’s issues or draw attention to the female focused products and services you offer, the customized Designer Manicure Kit can be a valuable way to get that interest you need.
