The Good: Unique item, great for home or office.
The Bad: Takes up significant desk space, may not be as appealing to non-golfers.
The Bottom Line: With the right marketing, the Putting Green Coaster can be an ace in the hole for your team.
Design (7/10): (top)
The plastic of the Putting Green Coaster is sturdy enough to support everything you’d normally put on a coaster and has no noticeable structural imperfections or scratches from construction. Great for holding a regular sized mug and serving as a putting green, this item is studier than you’d expect from a three dollar piece of plastic.
Features (6/10): (top)
Unlike some of our other items, the Putting Green Coaster isn’t necessarily just appealing to golf enthusiasts. Anyone who wants to add a little color to their workspace will like it, and the added space for a pen and mug (not included) means that it’s practical as well as decorative. However, it’s basically a triangle that’s 8.5” on each side, so it takes up more room than a simple pen cup or photo frame. On the other hand, it does have space for a mug in the center which may help save space as well. The only thing that’s included with the Putting Green Coaster is the translucent flag which is removable from its small hole. Other tie in ideas include an imprinted golf ball or Corporate Promo Stick Pen to make a complete desk set.
Price (7/10): (top)
For only a few bucks, the Putting Green Coaster is a steal. Although it’s not like a backpack or t-shirt that’ll advertise wherever you go, it still puts your name in front of a potential customer (or faithful employee) again and again. Capable of doing its job and inexpensive: everything you could ask for from a promotional product.
Although it probably works best with golf related campaigns, there’s no reason the Putting Green Coaster wouldn’t be a big hit in any office setting. Hey, if nothing else, you’re providing a great release for those who put in the extra hours.
