The 12” World Time Calculator Ruler is a sturdy instrument that makes a wonderful addition to any desk set. The ruler measures 12” x 2” and is just over a quarter inch tall. Its slim design makes it an easy fit into desk drawers or alongside desktop blotters. The entire unit is durable, so don’t expect ends to chip off or buttons to pop out mid-calculation.

The item only comes in silver, which is seemingly limited, but unlike some of our other desktop items, you can imprint multi-colored logos in the 7/8” x 1-3/4” space. Although there are additional running and setup charges for that service, a vivid image can make or break this product. Electronic features include a ruler (12” marked to the 1/8”), world clock for 16 cities, calculator, calendar, alarm and countdown timer. If you or your employees have trouble parceling out time for projects, the countdown timer can help keep you on task. Despite all these features, the instruction manual is extremely easy to follow, even for this self-confessed instruction manual ignorer.

The pricing vs. performance aspect is where reviewing this item gets tricky. While getting the separate instruments that make up the personalized 12” World Time Calculator Ruler would definitely cost more than simply consolidating the items, you may not necessarily need all the functions it offers. If your work is strictly domestic, the world time function will be of no use, and every computer has some kind of calculator software. That being said, there’s certainly no harm in having too much of a good thing, but if your focus is somewhat narrower, the personalized 12” World Time Calculator Ruler is a broad tool.
