You're Awesome!

Only in recent years have researchers and medical professionals gained a better understanding of autism spectrum disorder. They still continue to search for explanations of its causes and improved methods of caring for the people who have it, however. This is why April is designated Autism Awareness Month, a time to further our knowledge regarding this condition.

Given all of that, buying silicone bracelets and buttons may seem like a really trifling matter. Wearing products like these, though, is a subtle yet effective way to put autism in the public eye and get people thinking about what can be done for those who have it. Other ways to promote autism awareness including printing custom messages on other items that people use regularly, like pens, tote bags, and water bottles.

These items can be offered as fundraising gifts or simply given away at schools, medical facilities, and community centers to tie into Autism Awareness Month. By offering items like these, you demonstrate not only that you're committed to improving the lives of people who have autism but that you support an environment that's friendly to all people on the autism spectrum. Who knew that a simple button or pen could do so much?
