  1. QLP Kid

    I love #6!

    I am my own brand!

  2. Scooby DOO!

READ these, and then read them over; they are free tips that will make all the difference in your branding campaigns. Those who educate themselves BEFORE jumping in, generally fare significantly better than those who just jump. Did you dive into the deep end the first time you went into a pool?

It’s not like Bret did not research the different styles of UGGS before he made his purchase and look how happy he is now.

…That’s a lot of flair, even for office space standards.

  3. QLP Jill

Can I just say how much I LOVE these resources? Where else could you find brand-building pointers from Guy Kawasaki, Chris Hughes, Bob Ross, and Hawaii Five-O in one place…PLUS insightful strategies about many of the key elements (social media, personal branding, avatars, online and offline branding)? I don’t even know where to begin reading! Although, I suppose it would be logical to start with number 1 and work my way down, eh? πŸ˜‰

  4. D-Rok

Nice reference guide. Lists are always nice, because they allow the reader to spend only as much time as they want on only the material they are interested in reading.

It’s very convenient for our modern-day “don’t have time to sneeze” lifestyles. Too bad, however, people are missing out on the little details that can make all the difference. Cliff notes just don’t give you the whole story.

Nonetheless, you can’t help how people are. You can only modify your writing style to better suit what people want, which is exactly what you’ve done. Very convenient.

  5. Big Johnson

Isn’t having your article or content included in this blog post a form of branding also?

These 20 websites just earned a free link from our website; granted they are all VERY well deserving of such.

I have to say my feelings are a little hurt after reading this list though… Where is a link to a discussion explaining how or why PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS are great branding tools? Promotional merchandise printed with your small business logo or name (personal branding) are great marketing tools and increase brand awareness and recall.

    Tisk… Tisk… Tisk…

  6. Big Johnson

Total tangent… But today was Jersey Thursday, and I was the only person who dressed to impress today – SHAME ON YOU ALL! πŸ™

  7. skelly

Scooby – the UGG comment literally made me laugh out loud. Nice πŸ™‚

  8. Max Powers

Good point Johnson! I can’t believe that’s not listed among the branding tips, ha-ha. Combine direct marketing with promotional products and you’ve got the best campaign possible. Nothing is more effective that talking face-to-face with your target audience and giving them free items with your imprint to take home and remember you by. They can turn the channel when commercials come on, or watch the roadway when billboards are in sight. However when someone is speaking directly to you and giving you something for free, you feel more obligated to listen to them, and therefore are more likely to be effected by the campaign.
