Best Camping Promotional Items for Experiencing the Great Outdoors

The summer months bring people joy for a variety of reasons. Some enjoy not having to wake up for an 8 AM class anymore, others enjoy not having to layer up to brave the weather, and some enjoy the fact that the sun is up for longer than 8 hours during the day.

One of the reasons I love summer is because it means my family and I go camping on the weekends to relax and hang out together. We’re not the only ones — chances are, you have customers or clients who love to camp, too! If you really want to get their attention, give them a promo item they can use while they’re out in the great outdoors. You’ll have a customer for life, because campers are notorious for their loyalty!

Check out which promo items this camper would recommend:

Liberty Camping Safety Rechargeable Lantern

Liberty Camping Safety Rechargeable Lantern

Unless you camp at an electric site (yes, they do exist), you aren’t going to have any light when the sun goes down. Your camping customers rely on flashlights, and these custom Liberty Camping Safety Rechargeable Lanterns will be extremely useful! They can set them a picnic table and light the area to avoid running into anything.

But, if they do get a minor scrape or cut…

Frosty Clipper First Aid Kit

These Frosty Clipper First Aid Kits will get them back enjoying the campfire and s’mores in no time! Each promotional first aid kit includes: 2 snips, 1 small telfa pad, 1 insect sting wipe, 1 packet of antibiotic ointment, 4 bandages, 1 packet of aloe vera gel, 2 antiseptic towelettes, and 1 first aid guide.

Eastlake Backpack

Eastlake Backpack

They’ll be up and raring to go for that hike they planned the next morning with their Eastlake Backpack. Whatever goodies they want to bring along on a hike, bike ride, or beach run, these screen-printed backpacks will keep the contents safe and within reach! Energy bars, water bottles, maps, compasses — all can come along for the adventure, and when your customers need to stop for a rest, the Eastlake Backpack will be there with its built-in cushion to make sure they always have a clean place to sit. Not to mention, it’s unisex in style so that men and women can carry it without any eye-rolling or sighs of exasperation.

Is hiking not your customers’ thing? Then they’re probably a fan of chilling out by the campfire instead.

The Big Lounger

Check out The Big Lounger for “campfire potato” customers. These custom chairs are great for larger budgets to give away to a select number of clients or for your top employees to have as a thank-you. Trust me, there’s nothing nicer than sitting by the campfire with a freshly made s’more under a full moon and a sky full of stars. Your logo is screen printed for a truly custom look that will have your competitors salivating at your awesomeness!

The Kailua Canteen (22 Oz.)

While you’re sitting around the fire in the middle of the wilderness, it’s important to stay hydrated with clean, fresh water. Give your customers your personalized Kailua Canteens and they will always be able to keep your brand and their refreshing drink nearby.

Campfire Mug (15 Oz.)

Campfire Mug (15 Oz.)

If your customers prefer fresh-brewed campfire coffee, tea, or other hot beverages, a Campfire Mug may be the perfect gift! Designed like a speckled tin campfire cup, these mugs are made of ceramic, so they’ll keep your drink warm and insulated as you lounge by the fire. Even with a warm drink in your hands, the great outdoors can still get cold at night.

Your customers may feel a chill while they’re sitting under the stars. Which would mean that…

Roll-up Blanket

A Roll-up Blanket is a thoughtful idea! These promotional blankets are easy to roll up and pack without taking up much space in a car trunk. They’re great to bring along on picnics as well to keep dry while sitting on the grass. After the camping trip, they can be taken to sporting events when the sun goes down and the stars come out. If the stars aren’t shining because of rain clouds rolling in, then it’s a good thing to hand out a way for them to keep dry.

On The Go Poncho

These On The Go Ponchos are perfect for when the rain drops start to fall. They’re great to keep in a glove compartment or in a backpack when you don’t feel like carrying around an umbrella! Your brand’s logo is on the front and center of the packaging so there won’t be any confusion in regards to who handed out these incredibly functional promo items.

Another promo item that will save your customers when the weather turns on them is…

Waterproof Pouch

The Waterproof Pouch, which I know first-hand is smart to give out and even smarter to use. Last summer when my parents and I were camping, we had two days of straight rain. It wasn’t too bad, but in the process my dad’s cell phone got wet and no amount of rice could revive it. If only we had this customized waterproof pouch, his phone would have survived! These pouches are great to take to the beach as well and keep money, cell phones, car keys, whatever small knick-knacks you want dry and not fried. While you’re at the beach, you may get a bit peckish and a salty snack and ice cold drink would really hit the spot.

When you get hungry and thirsty…

Six-Pack Cooler

Just pull out the Six-Pack Cooler and silence your hunger! These promotional coolers are great to pack lunches, too, when you feel like venturing away from your campsite for the day. Your customers will love that they can do some exploring without having to worry about where or when they’ll get their next meal. Your imprint is featured front and center on these promotional coolers, so your brand’s name won’t be ignored.

While you’re enjoying the beach…

Soap Sheet Dispenser

Don’t forget to bring along a Soap Sheet Dispenser to keep yourself healthy and germ-free! Lord only knows what’s in the sand below your feet, so before you bite into that delicious apple or peach, make sure your hands are clean. These custom soap sheets are easy to slide into a back pocket to always have on hand. After all, when you’re camping, you’re not always near running water and soap.

I’m the first to admit, camping is not for everyone. But for those who enjoy it will love any of these promo items as a thank you or as a quick giveaway. You’ll increase your brand’s awareness and make sure the maximum amount of people see your logo (campers are by nature a very close bunch, the whole having a campsite twenty feet from your neighbors helps quite a bit).

Are you a camper or do you prefer ‘glamping’? Do you have a favorite item that was left off this list? What do you love most about summer? Sound off below!

WATERPROOF POUCH. Want it! Gimme gimme gimme! I took my dogs swimming one time, and one of them looked to be not doing so hot, so I waded in a *little* too far… cell phone = kaput. It’s TERRIFYING being stuck in the rain… PROTECT ALL THE GADGETS!!

    • Amy Swanson

Protect all the gadgets, indeed! I wouldn’t say I’m addicted to my phone, but not having it work when I need it to would make me go crazy. Those pouches would be perfect for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors- nothing worse than going for a hike and getting caught in a downpour. Yuck!

      Thanks for commenting, Jeff!

  2. Cybernetic SAM

These are all awesome products you chose! I love camping so much!!!! I think I am of a rare type that gets REALLY excited when I get my quarterly Campmor catalog! Great Post!

    • Amy Swanson

Thank you, Sam! It’s always great to hear someone else is just as crazy as I am and loves to sleep outdoors during the summer 😉 Ahhhh, nothing better.

  3. Mandy Kilinskis

I’m afraid that the only kind of camping I could handle is glamping Tom Haverford-style, but even then, all of these items would be great to have along on a camping or glamping trip! Especially the waterproof pouch because a dry phone is a happy phone.

    • Amy Swanson

Thanks for commenting, Mandy 🙂 Tom’s version of camping is pretty epic, I’d be down to camp like that any day of the week, haha!

  4. Alex Brodsky

I’m not going to lie, I know I SEEM like the manliest of all men (stop laughing), but camping really isn’t for me.

I’m pretty sure creatures of all types (just like the ladies *wink*) would be drawn to me out there. But then the forest creatures would take it a step further and eat me. I don’t think that first aid kit would be able to fix that.

BUT if I ever get suckered into camping, I’ll make sure to come to you for some tips, Amy. Cool post!

    • Amy Swanson

It’s a good thing your girlfriend snatched you up then, Alex 😉 Camping isn’t for everyone, and it’s a good thing to figure out before you end up on a week long trip. Finding out on day 2 you hate camping is NOT fun for the rest of the group.

I won’t be a big help on every camping topic but I can recommend some great bug sprays and which marshmallows make the best s’mores. Y’know, the “important” stuff 😉

  5. Rachel

As others have said, I really like the waterproof pouch. I’m not the camping type, but a lot of these could apply to a picnic too, so that works for me! 🙂 Great promo ideas, Amy!

    • Amy Swanson

Thanks, Rachel! My favorite I think is the roll-up blanket. Anytime I can skip a step of folding a blanket and instead just roll and go, I’m all in 😉

  6. Jen

What a fun post Amy! I don’t get to camp out as often as I would like, but I do like to sit around a campfire/bonfire when the opportunity arises. I love being outside at night under the stars, it’s so relaxing (except for the mosquitoes, I could do without those). The Soap Sheet Dispenser is really cool, I didn’t even know that existed!

    • Amy Swanson

      Thanks Jen 🙂

Along with you, I don’t get to camping as often as I’d like. I guess that makes it that much more special, right?

I’m glad you liked the soap sheet dispensers. They are pretty cool! I’d love for a company to “hand” those out (pun intended).

  7. Eric

Folding chairs I’d be all about if I was camping. Although it seems like a nice thought at first to make like the pioneers did, and turn log stumps into impromptu furniture pieces, you’ll find you’re a lot more comfortable when your chair has things like “back support.” Plus, it has a cupholder…does your standard log-chair? No. No, it does not. Unless you’ve a very bored scout troop working on achieving their merit badge for woodworking, and whittle themselves a family room set.

Blankets are handy, too. When I was young and in the scouts, one time we went camping, we forgot to pack pillows. A couple spare blankets we had saved the day, there.

Nice post, Amy. Made me think back to all my own camping experiences. Good times.

    • Amy Swanson

Log-chairs are sooooo circa 1897, I’m all for folding chairs with cupholders as well. Mmm, now combine a folding chair with a blanket and you’ve got yourself a mighty fine evening roasting s’mores on your hands.

Happy to hear it made you recall your camping experiences, I’m hoping only the good ones though 😉

  8. Jill Tooley

I’m not a camping superfan or anything, but it can be a ton of fun with the right crowd of people! You picked some superb products, too. I’d also add a few campfire mugs to the mix for hot chocolate. There’s something so appealing about them…it puts me in a camping mood!

P.S. I’d be down for Tom Haverford-style glamping as well! 😉

    • Amy Swanson

My family and I usually camp in northern Wisconsin where the nights can get pretty chilly. Hot chocolate in one of those mugs would be fantastic! Excellent addition, Jill! Thanks!!

Could you imagine if we got the Blogsquad together on a camping trip? I’ll let your imagination run with that 😉
