How to Turn Your Car into a Portable Billboard Using Promotional Items

Remember the Wienermobile? It causes a hubbub everywhere it travels and it brings attention to the Oscar Mayer brand. Even if you don’t remember the Wienermobile, I’m sure you’ve noticed cars, vans, or trucks decked out with eye-catching and colorful advertisements for various businesses. Don’t you ever wish that you could be driving the vehicle that turns heads at stoplights? Wouldn’t it be sweet to gain that kind of brand recognition and attention for your company? If you answered “YES!” then I have good news for you! With the help of automobile-themed promotional items from Quality Logo Products, you can transform your boring vehicle into an advertising monster that will stop at nothing to get your brand noticed!

For those of you who have newer vehicles (or for those of you who aren’t keen on permanent advertisements glued to your cars), you will love promotional car magnets! I’m sure you’ve seen these…they’re the giant magnets that people customize with a company’s name and contact information and then stick to the doors of their cars. Oval car magnets seem to be more popular, but the rectangular car magnets aren’t far behind! It’s a matter of personal preference, really. If you have a truck or an SUV that has a spare tire attached to the back of it, then I recommend customizing tire covers for your business as well!

However, for those of you who would prefer to GO WILD with longer-term car advertisements, you’ll love plastering your car with custom bumper stickers! It’s true that bumper stickers are somewhat “old-fashioned”, but they still work better than ever when it comes to getting you noticed. Here’s a tip, though – if you have too many different bumper stickers (for example, if you choose to customize several different designs for the same business) then it can be confusing to onlookers if they’re all cluttered in the same space. It’s okay to wallpaper your car with advertisements for your company, but just make sure they are easy to read. Otherwise, your message could be wasted anyway!

Don’t neglect your license plates, either! License plate frames effectively broadcast your message to cars behind you in traffic. Auto tags are also colorful and attract attention! (NOTE: obviously, you can’t go without having a state-issued license plate on your vehicle, but many dealerships use auto tags on the front plate only. You may want to check with your state laws regarding license plates before purchasing these for your business!)

It’s just as important to advertise while your car is parked, so in addition to any promo items you choose for the car’s exterior, I’d also recommend a personalized car sun shade. These sun shades not only keep your vehicle cooler during scorching summer days, but they also get your logo noticed. Car sun shades are light and easy to fold up, so you don’t have to worry about where to put them while you’re driving. Promotional car air fresheners are also handy promo items for the inside your vehicle, and they are very inexpensive!

I wonder if strapped a huge hot dog to the back of my car and hit the highway if I’d get a ticket.

Don’t you have to “flag” that thing! 🙂

Hey, you should go for it! I don’t think having a “wiener” on the back of your car would be any worse than having those “truck nuts” or whatever they’re called! 😉

I have to say, every time I come here there is another fascinating post to read. A friend of mine was telling me about this topic a few weeks ago, so I think I’ll send them the url here and see what they say.
