Meet Tangerine Tango: Pantone Color of 2012
Honeysuckle is so 2011. It’s time to vamp up your promotions with the most sizzling color of 2012: Tangerine Tango.
This beautiful reddish-orange color was named the Pantone Color of 2012 because of its versatility and dramatic energy. It’s bold enough to get attention without making people feel like they’re at a construction site. What do you think of it? Experts claim that Tangerine Tango looks great on anyone, which is one of the many highlights of its appeal.
Orange is my favorite color (particularly the rich, reddish shade that is Tangerine Tango), so I’m psyched about this choice. Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute’s Executive Director, had positive feedback about it, too:
Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it…[r]eminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, [this color] marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.
If oranges already adorn your ads or emphasize your logo, then there’s plenty of room for this color in your marketing efforts in 2012. Just look at that color contrast! From purple stress balls and green drawstring bags to classic black or white backgrounds, there are so many products that could benefit from the cheeriness of Tangerine Tango.
Even if your logo doesn’t include any orange, you can still find ways to use this gorgeous shade on your promotional products or in your advertisements. Be subtle and use Tangerine Tango on border boxes or for plain-text message lines — you may find that it complements your color scheme. It’ll fit right in with spring giveaways! For example:
