Rain on the Competition’s Parade!

With summer looming around the corner, promotional products are breaking up the cloud cover and heading towards the throngs of happily strolling potential customers!

So while everyone else gets to shake off their winter blues, where are you stuck? You’re inside working overtime on an advertising campaign that’s supposed to draw in a large audience and demonstrate real staying power. Quality Logo Products is pleased to be the ray of sunshine that’ll help your business blossom like the first buds of May.

One of the best ways to get a huge audience in high spirits is to participate in a local parade. Whether it’s something enormous like New York’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or smaller and local like a spring fling, you’re promised a captive audience that’ll have their arms outstretched for brand awareness!

When you’re choosing a promotional product to distribute at a parade, make sure you’re picking something that’s easy to transport, durable (not everyone is great at catching), and for the love of God, safe. After all, you don’t want to wing a custom Crystal Star Award at someone’s face. That’s a great way to lose an eye and gain a lawsuit.

The personalized Full Size Inflatable Beach Ball can be distributed folded up as they’re shipped to you or blown up (what else are interns good for?) and used to start an impromptu game of Keep-It-Up in the audience. Either way, you’ve got a generous surface area to work with, the bright colors are sure to appeal to kids and adults alike, and the round, soft design means everyone’s corneas are pretty safe.

Stay soaring with the customized 9” Value Flyer. Not only does it also fit the Unlikely-To-Make-You-Wear-An-Eyepatch requirement with its rounded edges, but it’s also made of a hard, durable plastic. Sure, parades go pretty slow, but there’s always the one ex-high school baseball player who now in his 40’s and feels the need to knock over toddlers in order to snag a freebie from a man in a bunny suit. Should that Almost Hall of Famer miss the custom frisbee, it’ll skitter harmlessly on the ground – with your logo beaming up at the adoring masses.

You didn’t think this list was going to neglect personalized stress balls, did you? My personal favorite (and you can tell because my desk drawer is jammed with them – shhh!) is the Color Changing Gel Stress Ball. You’ve got the soft, squishy feeling of the gel stress relievers combined with the hue-shifts to make one distractingly fun promotional product. With a variety of available colors and the ability to mix and match shades to go with your imprint, the parade-goers will be very excited to catch this treat.

Speaking of treats, candy is in constant demand at parades. I know I am in the vast minority when I say I hate Skittles, but if you want to go the candy route, there’s really no better choice than the customized Skittles Treat Packet. If the packet hits the ground, the candy is still safe inside. Plus, your logo on the packet will give you the brand exposure you’re looking for with each customer. And if the customers (like me) hate Skittles but can’t bring themselves to throw away perfectly good candy, it’ll sit on the kitchen counter for months. That’s brand exposure right there.

So what are you thinking for the next 4th of July parade? What kind of promotional product would have helped Harrison Ford in that scene from The Fugitive when he sneaks into Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade? Have you ever picked a promotional product solely for its ability to be tossed into a crowd? Sound off in the comments below!

Until next time, keep expanding your brand!
