Coffee Coffee Coffee! Cool posts here. My wife worked for Kraft for awhile who are the owners of the Keurig competitor, Tassimo. BTW, I do agree that Keurig has won over Tassimo but that blog post nicely summed up why. I’ll have to check out the rest later. 🙂

    • Amy Swanson

Thanks for stopping by, Tim! I was amazed at the number of coffee posts we had on our site, reading and summarizing them was quite a challenge, haha. Glad to see you’re in good company here with the rest of us coffee nuts 😉

Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
    It restoreth my buzz:
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
    I will fear no Equal™:
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of The Starbucks:
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the House of Mochas forever.

    • Amy Swanson

This. is. EPIC! I hope the House of Mochas will let me dwell inside for eternity, ahhhh heaven. Haha, thanks Sam for this! Love it!!

  3. Rachel

Dang, who knew we’d written so much about coffee?? What a fun roundup! I see lots more Starbucks articles here than Dunkin’ Donuts … better get cracking on that, Amy. 😉

    • Amy Swanson

I know, right?! I kept expecting to come to a weird number like six or eight or something. Nope ten on the nose.

I gush about Dunkin’ Donuts probably more often than I should as it is now, haha. I could easily write hundreds of blogs for my love of them 🙂 Mmmm, an iced coffee from them sounds divine right now!

      Thanks for commenting, Rachel!

I am still not a coffee nut, but there have been several things that have had me consider to start drinking it…
    1. I have always loved the smell of it growing up. The coffee bean aisle at grocery stores, and then the smell of it when my dad would make his am coffee.
    2. I hear it cures hangovers pretty well.
    3. Since I have been on a set schedule of waking up early every day now, it may help me get through the day. The days I come in tired, I always grab a monster, and I know those are terrible for you.

These are some great posts. I have not read all of them yet, but I have read several, I look forward to reading the rest.

    • Amy Swanson

My parents are loyal coffee drinkers and the smell of it always makes me smile, I love it too! As for the hangover cure, I wouldn’t try it. Stick to lots and lots and lots of water! It does wonders 🙂

Haha, no rush on reading them there’s no quiz or anything! Thanks for commenting!!

  5. Mandy Kilinskis

I don’t think that I celebrated National Caffeine Awareness Month properly. I only had a single cup of coffee per day. I think I may extend the festivities into April.

Thanks for the great roundup post, Amy! There are so many excellent articles here, and anything about coffee sounds good to me!

    • Amy Swanson

I knew my fellow ‘coffee crazy’ here would appreciate this post, thanks! I think National Caffeine Awareness Month is like Christmas, it should be celebrate year long, not just for a day or a month 😉

  6. Jen

Great round up of coffee related blogs Amy! We sure do love our caffeine here in the office! A nice warm cup of Joe in the morning really wakes me up and an iced coffee after lunch keeps me going strong to pull through the last few hours. I think I might get myself some right now! 🙂

  7. Jill Tooley

I almost forgot about that coffee promo items blog post! Wow, see, you even refreshed my memory on my own blogs…now that’s an energy boost. 🙂

Technically, Caffeine Awareness Month is supposed to sway people from caffeine and reveal all of its dangers, but i like to think of it as the opposite. Caffeine should certainly be limited throughout the day, but it’s not the worst addiction to have. Did you know that caffeine is the most widely used drug in the world? That shocked me when I first heard it, probably because I don’t think of it as a drug. But it makes sense!

Anyway, nice collection of coffee posts you’ve got here. Now I REALLY have a craving for some mocha…be right back!!! 😉

    • Amy Swanson

I’m with you, Jill. We should be aware of caffeine’s dangers, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate it too 🙂

Any of the coffee promo items that were highlighted, I would be delighted to receive and use!

  8. Blaire

Coffee is by far the most widely used drug in the world. It’s also one of the most addictive which is why many of us get headaches when we stop drinking it. Used in moderation it’s great and let’s face it coffee mugs are some of the best trinkets going.

    • Amy Swanson

Hey Blaire, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

I totally agree with you and enjoying coffee in moderation, it’s the best way to go to get that jolt of energy without becoming dependent on it. I also love receiving coffee mugs, they’re great to always have on hand. I’ve been known to use them for heating up leftover soup at work or grabbing cereal in the morning! Can’t beat that 😉

  9. Jeff Porretto

I’m a little disappointed my Starbucks drink size rant didn’t make the cut (one of my faves):

But then again its not exclusively about coffee, so que sera…

I REALLY try to not have more than 1-2 cups of coffee a week. And only when I’m dragging @$$. Same with pop. I won’t have pop on the same day I had coffee. I don’t like the feeling of NEEDING it. I should try some decaf though because it sure does taste delicious!!

    • Eric

      No shame in it, Jeff.

      Soda Addict

      • Amy Swanson

        Dear Soda Addict,

Unfortunately, there are no QLP blogs about Coca-Cola, so I couldn’t include one in this post 🙁 I’m with you though, can’t beat an ice-cold glass of Coke any day of the week!

        Coca-Cola Lover

    • Amy Swanson

You know my thoughts on decaf already, so I won’t bore you with that here 😉 Knowing us, we’ll get some more coffee posts written and then your amazing rant will have it’s special place front and center in that blog! Thanks for commenting!!
