Top-Selling Promotional Products of December 2011

Last month, we reviewed the top-selling promotional products of November 2011. Now it’s time to see which products fell, rose to the top, or came out of nowhere for a surprise victory!

Who says that promo item rankings can’t be as memorable as the Billboard charts? Not this chick. Let’s dive into the results.

Top 10 Promotional Items of December 2011:

The Cinch-Up Drawstring Backpack and the Alpine Aluminum Water Bottle switched places in the rankings last month, and the Round Stress Reliever held steady at the almost-top position. Small Eco-Friendly Tote Bags, Promotional Stadium Cups, and Metallic Viper Pens didn’t fluctuate much, but it looks like all are fighting for the prime #1 spot. And how about those newcomers? Acrylic Straw Tumblers came out of nowhere to snag the #4 spot, and the Hedgehog Pen and Budget Coffee Mug aren’t far behind. Heart Stress Relievers knocked November’s hot stress ball off the list (Football Stress Balls), reiterating that Valentine’s Day is in and football is fizzling out!

Now that you’re clear on December 2011’s top 10 promotional products, we’ll move on to our new section: The QLP Movers and Shakers. Want to know which promotional products to keep an eye on in 2012? Are you trying to weigh the trends to figure out which promo item to personalize? Check this out!

The following giveaway items made a splash in December but didn’t quite make it to the top 10:

If you saw the Color Touch Stainless Tumblers in person, then you’d understand why they’re so trendy. The colors pop like a fiend and their stainless exterior is silky to the touch. It’s no surprise that Baseball Stress Relievers are making their way toward the top, but you may be puzzled about the Nail File in Sleeve. Don’t be — they’re WAY under a buck a piece and they last longer than flimsy emery boards. ‘Nuff said.

Will the new contenders knock any of our top-selling December 2011 promo items off the list next month? Which products are you rooting for? Come back soon and find out the newest results!

Great presentation… I give this a [CHECK] ++++++, and it amazes me that the stress ball, even in a cold December month, was/is still #2.

I guess anything really IS possible – JK!

Are people much less stressed in December? 😉

It seems that I never have a sturdy nail file in my purse. Sure flimsy ones that bend and break, got tons of those. I’m glad those are moving up on to the list, hopefully the companies I frequent will pick up on this trend 🙂 Great break down, Jill! Thanks!

  3. Mandy Kilinskis

Well, you go, Acrylic Straw Tumblers! They’re such a great, low-cost item that I’m surprised that they didn’t make the list last month! And I’m also glad to see the nail file on the rise – those are super nice!

Thanks again for the round up! I’m looking forward to see what happens next month.

I love the Color Touch Stainless Tumblers! The colors are totally awesome! I would drink my coffee out of that like it’s nobody’s business!

The Nail File in Sleeve is a great give away for beauty salons. It’s a great way to promote a new shop opening or a stylist looking for clients. These would be great to give away at hair shows too.

    Nice break down Jill!!!

I can def. say that i love #1 and #4. I love them so much so that i use both EVERY DAY! The Cinch-Up Drawstring Backpack has now replaced my purse. Being a single mom, it is much easier to carry all my necessities and my daughters things in a backpack while still holding her than to try and manage it all in a purse & diaper-bag. And as I’ve mentioned before any and all Straw Tumblers are a must have for easy drinking on the go without the fuss and mess! Great post Jill!

  6. Rachel

Makes sense that the heart stress ball made it into the top 10, and that the baseball stress reliever is popular, too. Interesting about the nail file, wouldn’t have expected that … but it’s definitely a neat item!

Thanks for the rundown, Jill. 🙂
