Large headphones with cushioned external speakers are almost a retro fashion statement as much as they are an audio accessory. They're excellent if sound quality is all you care about, less so if you care about the looks people give you if you show up with them while you're dressed in business attire (and even less so if you plan on sneaking some music in during your next meeting).

When we tested these retractable Ear Buds, we found that the plug fit easily into a standard 3.5mm audio jack. The PU plastic cord extended to its advertised 34" in length with a tug on both ends and retracted with a similar tug. The imprint did not scratch off of the ABS plastic center, and the headphones, though not cushioned, fit snugly inside the ear.

As for the sound, they lacked the bass of other headphones and ear buds we've tried, and they were just slightly muddier overall than other earbuds. However, various parts of a song were still discernable, and for the price, we'd recommend these on convenience alone.
