Whether you're enjoying a soda, a beer, or any other cold beverage, physics is going to get in the way, sooner rather than later. How does physics get in the way? For one thing, heat from the air surrounding the beverage (as well as the hand holding the glass) is going to transfer to the liquid, warming it up.
