Going Green for 2019: Carbon Neutral Shipping

It’s more important now than ever to go green. We need to care not only for our water and land, but also reduce pollutants that are swirling around in our air. I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of breathing and toxic fumes aren’t helpful when it comes to clean lungs.

With that being said, I’m excited to report that UPS is cutting down on their carbon dioxide (CO²) impact with carbon neutral shipments. This is our primary shipper at Quality Logo Products®, so we’re very excited to support their mission in reducing harmful carbon dioxide in our planet’s atmosphere.

Take a look at how carbon dioxide is hurting Mother Earth!

So how does carbon neutral shipping help create change? Moreover, what does it mean for your order from Quality Logo Products®? Let’s dive into all the details!

Spare a Nickel

stack of nickelsWe here at Quality Logo Products® are proud to support the CarbonNeutral® standard. We use UPS to ship those awesome promo products to your doorstep, so this means we’re all doing our part in keeping our planet clean.

Of course, support only goes so far as there’s a financial cost in cutting down emissions. That’s why your shipping will cost only five cents extra as of January 2019.

That one nickel is all it takes to change the quality of the air we’re breathing. Think of it as a coin that might have ended up buried in your couch or under your car seat anyway!

What is Carbon Neutral Shipping?

According to the CarbonNeutral® website: “CarbonNeutral® is a global standard awarded to businesses which have reduced their greenhouse gas emissions to net zero.”

Carbon NeutralBasically, a business that’s certified as
“carbon neutral” has purchased carbon offsets in order to cut down on CO² emissions for various projects around the globe.

CarbonNeutral® works with over 350 businesses in over 35 countries. Not only do they certify businesses, but they also give their label to individual products and events. Their work is, quite literally, a breath of fresh air!

UPS is Making a Difference

UPS is a major organization that has recently received the CarbonNeutral® seal of approval. For every ton of carbon dioxide a package produces in transit, an equal amount of carbon dioxide is saved by an emission reduction project somewhere else in the world. This helps keep the air we’re all breathing nice and clean.

UPS has purchased offsets that will help a number of worthwhile projects.

Overall, these projects would not be as successful without the support of carbon neutral organizations like UPS. Their eco-friendly shipping helps create cleaner air for people around the world.

Alyssa Mertes

Alyssa loves food. A LOT. Particularly pizza and popcorn, but she knows beggars can’t be choosers. When she’s not stuffing her face (which is rare), she loves watching movies, playing volleyball and softball, and engaging in any number of interesting shenanigans. If she had to pick a spirit animal, she’d be an otter because they are playful and love to laugh. Most of the time she’s laughing at herself, whether other people are laughing with or at her is to be determined.
