Branding Beat - Cut Through the Noise

Spotlight: Give Your Brand a Hand Winner December 2015: Color Coastal Art

Creatives, doodlers, and kids at heart – your time has come! You don’t have to look very far to find an article touting the benefits of coloring books for adults. In fact, they’re thought to have the same benefits of meditation. They reduce stress, promote creativity, and decrease mental fatigue. Now you have a scientifically backed reason to spend less time at the gym and psychologist, and more time under blankets with a good coloring book. Self-expression is just a package of colored pencils away!

Artist Jean Roberts has recently added hand drawn coloring books to her lineup of creative creations and sells them online at Color Coastal Art. As December’s winner of our Give Your Brand a Hand giveaway, she chose some colorful giveaways that will help her customers get in touch with their inner artist. She ordered customized pencil sharpeners and personalized colored pencils to give away with the purchase of her coloring books!

The whole set looks great. Check it out!

Congrats to Jean!! I’d love to be able to get my hands on that coloring book – looks super cool! Who says you have to be a kid to color?! And a nice choice of promo products as well! Can’t wait to hear about the next winner!

I love coloring books. They help you relax and just calm you down on a level that not much can compete with. I would love to see the post-lunch naps instituted in offices across the country but since that may be asking too much, I’d settle for coloring books to help office mates relax.

Jean has some great stuff on her website and I love that shirt asking “Can I go COLOR now?” with the word color printed in different colors.

It’s nice to see someone with such passion for what they do winning the give your brand a hand contest.

Awesome-sauce! Who says you have to be a kid to color??? These look great and it would be cool to embrace your inner kid again. Congratulations to Color Coastal Art for starting your brand right! Both of those will be great for giveaways or as package by grabbing one of those books. 🙂

The idea of having to color within the lines gives me anxiety and stresses me out. I rebuke science! 🙂

I have always LOVED coloring – the excitement of opening a fresh box or crayons or perfectly sharpened pencils is making me want to go get one of these books right now!! Congratulations Jean, I think your hand drawn art pages are fantastic and I hope your new promotional items help spread the word about your awesome coloring books!

Coloring books are one of those really weird things that exploded into popularity recently. On the surface it must seem dumb, but there are people in the world (like me) who couldn’t draw to save their lives but still would like some kind of artistic outlet. Very cool to see CCA put together these packages using QLP swag. 🙂

I never knew coloring books could be so helpful at all age levels. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body so I always loved the Color by Number illustrations. That made it very easy for me.

This is a very cool idea for a unique promotional item and they are definitely companies that could benefit from an idea like this.

Thanks for the great post, Marianne!

Who would have known that coloring books would take off with adults and be such a hot trend?! Congrats to Jean and her innovative business. I’m not sure if there are any more perfect promo products out there to go with her items! From the look of her website and her awesome t-shirt designs (agreed, David!) this won’t be the last we’ll see of Jean.

    Excellent post!

I’ve seen the resurgence firsthand with members of my family and friends. Coloring books are back, people!

Congrats to the winner – Always cool to see good stuff happen to good people 🙂

Congrats Jean! The item you picked out is absolutely perfect for your business. I have a friend looking into producing her own coloring books based on her designs and you just gave me the perfect idea for her!
The coloring book is back, and as a person who can get anxious / stressed from time to time, I am surprised they ever left everyone’s bookshelf! The pencils look great and will be put to good use I am sure – love to see when QLP can help a customer out so perfectly!
