Welcome Elizabeth Watters to the Quality Logo Products Team! [Interview]
Okay, I’ve got something to confess: the employee featured in today’s interview isn’t exactly a new member of the Quality Logo Products® team. Nope, she’s an employee who’s moved up to a different role in the company, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
Elizabeth Watters may be one of our new salespeople, but she’s been with QLP for a little over a year now. In other words, she knows the ropes! Here’s what she had to say about her time with us and what she looks forward to in the future.
How long have you been working in the promotional products industry?
I have been working at QLP for a little over a year. I was originally hired on as an assistant for the amazing Kelly Bird, who showed me the ropes and then kicked me out of the nest once she knew I could fly on my own. She is awesome and I thank her for preparing me for this position.
What do you like best about working in this industry?
I love that every single day is completely unlike the day before. I get to meet new people via the phone and work on projects that they are excited about. It’s a very neat experience.
Do you have a favorite promotional item? If so, what is it?
I have two favorites actually! The Kona Vacuum Tumbler, that tumbler keeps my coffee hot for a ridiculous amount of time, about 16 hours. Yes, I have had a sip of 16 hour old coffee. It sounds gross and slightly unhealthy but I hate to admit it was still pretty darn good.
The other product I love is the Igloo Alpine Bottle Cooler. I give this as a gift to everyone! I love the top diagonal zipper and the heavy duty bottle opener attached to the strap. I throw in a 6 pack of my friends favorite bottled beer, stick their favorite candy in the side pockets and Voilà! It becomes the best gift they have or will ever receive. After giving this as a gift, your friends will be forever in your debt. They will probably even do your laundry.
If a customer called up saying she was going to have a booth at a technology-related trade show and needed something catchy but affordable for 1,000 people, which product would you recommend?
I would definitely suggest a microfiber cloth. They are something everyone carries around or has in their desk, purse, or car for getting those awful smudges off of all of their smart devices. It has a very large imprint area and they are extremely affordable. It is a great buy and functional.
What would you recommend to a customer who’s looking for a custom wedding favor?
I love, love, love the sunglasses! We all know how expensive weddings can be and these are very affordable. Perfect for a summer wedding. I am all about functionality and these are fun and practical!
What’s been your favorite part about joining the Quality Logo Products® team?
It’s a tie for first! My co-workers are crazy fun and just a bunch of great people! Also, the days are so fast-paced it’s already time to go and you feel like you just walked in the door. It’s never boring!
How do you spend your time when you’re out of the office?
I sleep mostly. When I’m not napping and dreaming about the next big sale I am caring for my four beautiful, amazing, obnoxiously intelligent children. And by “caring for” I really mean they are fending for themselves whilst I sleep.
