I know, I know, it’s been a while since we’ve done one of our new employee interviews. That doesn’t mean we’ve stopped growing here at QLP! Actually, we’ve added a few new sales people over the last several months.
So keep an eye on our blog because we’re going to feature some of our new team members soon. This time we’re introducing Stacy Gruca. She’s been here for a while, but some of our readers might not know her, so I decided to ask her a few questions to learn more about her!
What do you like best about working in this industry?
I have a lot of fun taking customers’ ideas and bringing them to fruition. Creating products that they thought of in their head. It’s pretty cool. Plus, I love shopping and I basically get to do that all day long!
Do you have a favorite promotional item? If so, what is it?
I do have an affinity toward coffee mugs mostly because I’m addicted to coffee. So a cool mug is right up my alley.
Let’s throw you a curveball. If a customer called up looking for a nice but fairly inexpensive favor for a wedding, which product would you recommend?
I’m a huge fan of out of the box things. So, cell phone wallets are kind of cool. I would definitely stay away from sunglasses, though.
You said stay away from sunglasses? Why’s that?
Everybody gets sunglasses. People are going to wear them for the day and then throw them away. If I’m going to do something I want it to be in your face like BAM you were at my wedding!
What if instead of a wedding it was a high school graduation party?
Any kind of drinkware product, that would be my suggestion. They are reusable and non-disposable.
What’s been your favorite part about joining the Quality Logo Products team?
It’s definitely the camaraderie and the teamwork. Everyone is super supportive of everybody else. I’ve never worked for another company that’s been like that.
How do you spend your time when you’re out of the office?
I’m a newlywed. So we are busy organizing our home and all that fun newlywed stuff! I also have two dogs. Mercy is a basset hound and Bear is a Labrador.
Anything else you’d like to share with QLP’s readers?
I was a paramedic for a very long time. So, if you cut your finger and don’t feel like calling 911 I guess you could call me! I could also sell you a Band-Aid holder that would not only repair your finger but also put your logo on it.
Stacy was actually a paramedic for about 10 years before coming to QLP. She’s even trained some of us in basic CPR and first aid, so we’re prepared for just about anything that comes our way.
