Durability

People carry their water bottles everywhere (especially bottles that look as good as these) so they have to be able to withstand a whole lot of wear and tear. We tested some of our bestselling water bottles for leaks and durability. You can read the full experiment here. The short version is that most didn’t leak even when hung upside down, and the PET plastic bottles stood up the best to our damage test.

Water Bottle Materials

Most of our water bottles are made from one of four materials: stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, or glass.

Stainless Steel

Durable, easy to clean, usually recyclable, and corrosion resistant, stainless steel water bottles are worth the extra upfront cost. They make for a premium giveaway.

Aluminum

Although not quite as robust as stainless steel, aluminum is less expensive, widely recycled, and lightweight, making it a good choice for hikers.

Plastic

While there are lots of different plastics (find out more at this blog post), water bottles tend to be made from PET, PETG, or HDPE, which are all BPA-free.

Glass

The top option for the purest taste, glass water bottles aren’t the best for travel but bring a certain sophistication to sipping.

Great Water Bottle - Better Service!

The Eco-Friendly Sports Bottle was a hit - we did purple with white print and our logo came out super clear and bottle itself is easy to hold, easy to clean, fits in a car cup holder and has a little “give” to it when drinking from it. There are no words to describe how easy to order, how thorough the process, and how great the support is from beginning to end.

What BPA-Free Means

You’ve probably seen the phrase “BPA-free” while browsing for water bottles. BPA is bisphenol A, a chemical used in the manufacturing of certain plastics, including some used to make food containers. There’s evidence that it may leach into food and drinks, which could cause health impacts. The Mayo Clinic has more information.

Not all plastics are made using BPA. For example, PET, PETG, and HDPE are made without BPA, which is why they’re BPA-free. The same goes for stainless steel and glass water bottles.

Some aluminum water bottles used to be lined with a plastic resin that could contain BPA. However, since the research into BPA came out, most bottles no longer contain BPA. You can check individual product pages to confirm that our water bottles are BPA-free.

Eco-Friendly Options

Eco-friendly water bottles aren’t just better for the planet: They tend to be more popular. In a recent survey, we asked how much extra people would be willing to spend on a water bottle that was labeled eco-friendly, compared to one without that label. Over half, 55.68%, said $1 to $5. Being able to tout your giveaway bottles’ eco-friendly credentials could be enough to convince people to snap them up, instead of your competitors’. By the way, most people associate the term “eco-friendly” with products that are recyclable or made from recycled material.

FAQs

How do you add my design to the water bottles?

You can see details on the customization method we use for each water bottle on its product page. We customize most of our water bottles using screen printing, which works like a stencil. For some we use decals, which can wrap around the whole bottle or cover a small area. Certain metal bottles are engraved: finished with a layer of powdered paint, which the laser removes in the shape of your design, revealing the shiny metal beneath. (Find out more about laser decorating techniques here.)

How many colors can I use in my design?

How many colors your design can have depends on which customization technique we use for that bottle. You can find out the specifics for each water bottle on its product page, at the top and bottom. The short answer is that for screen printing you’ll always get one free color included, and sometimes have the option to add more colors at additional cost. Most decals are printed in full color, which makes them a great choice for colorful designs and photos: learn more about full color printing here.

Are your water bottles dishwasher-safe?

Many of our water bottles can be safely washed in the top rack of the dishwasher. If this feature is a priority for you, scroll up to the sidebar on the left of your screen or click Filter at the top, go to the More Options section, and select Dishwasher Safe.

What’s the minimum number of water bottles I can order?

Each water bottle has a minimum order quantity, which is displayed on its product page. Typically the more expensive bottles have lower minimum order quantities. We have different unit prices for different order quantities: order more to save more!

How big are the water bottles?

The most popular sizes are 17oz, 20 oz, 24oz, and 32oz. For reference, a single-serve plastic soda bottle holds about 17oz. We have smaller and larger water bottles too, and sizes in between. To filter for a specific size, scroll up until you can see the sidebar or the Filter button, find the list of sizes, and choose your preferred option to see only the bottles that size.

Can I try a free sample?

You can order a free sample of some of our water bottles, worth up to $7.00 based on the minimum order price – the highest price we charge for that product. You can also order samples of the same bottle in multiple colors for free, as long as the total is $7.00 or less. To find out if your bottle is eligible, go to its product page and look under the blue Add to Cart option for a link that says Order a Sample.
