I am going to preface this review with the fact that I received this product as a sample and am reviewing the quality of the product not so much the service because I'll leave you to make your own judgement on that. Anyways, upon receiving the product, I noticed that the cotton material is pretty thin but not overly flimsy. If you hold it by the brim the rest of the hat doesn't just flop down but if I were to hold this over a source of light, I could see a lot of light coming through from the weave (if you have darker hair, I would suggest staying away from the darker colors as a word of caution) . Other unmentioned features: the brim seems to be nice and rigid which could hint that the inside is plastic and also there is no way to tuck the adjustable cord in the back (which also by the way, adjusted well to my rather small head) but either way, it doesn't really stick out much. Overall, it's good for what it's worth (less than $5 !!!) considering that a majority of people really only use hats to shield themselves from the sun and this one's got a darn good brim to do it!
