I'll be honest: when I first saw The San Michele Purse Holder, I had no idea why anyone would bother with this item. "I already have two perfectly good purse holders," I thought. "They're called my hands." My hands, however, can't be imprinted with a custom logo, unless I get a tattoo, and if I get a tattoo on either of my hands--no offense, but it will be of a way more appropriate design than a logo advertising Biff's 24-Hour Pharmacy.
If you've ever stayed in a hotel or sat in an office with a floor that looked a little, shall we say, funky, please know that you--and your customers are not alone. In fact, think of all the public places where, every day, people walk, spill their drinks, you name it. Now imagine setting a purse or bag on that same floor.
The San Michele Purse Holder is designed to keep your customers' bags away from germs. The rubber surface on the bottom of the circular base keeps it from sliding off of a table or countertop when a heavy load is hung from the hook. It can hold quite a heavy load, too; I hung an oversized canvas bag stuffed with two hardcover books, a sketch pad, and at least seventeen pens on the hook, and while the base did lift a bit, it didn't slide once.
Not only is The San Michele Purse Holder useful and pleasant to look at, it's also durable. Separating the hook from the base is nearly impossible, even when the purse holder is dropped from desk height. And while the polished chrome surface can be scratched with a pen, fingernails won't damage it, so it resists most regular wear and tear.
