Asked by Rena So, it is definitely safer and will last longer than if it were a multi color imprint, but after some time the imprint could come off and a lot depends on the type of dishwasher is being used, the temperature, and would advise to place them on the top rack as well. I would not place the mug in a commercial dishwasher as that will definitely cause the imprint to come off 100% whether it's a 1 or multicolor imprint.
