Will these engrave in the that shows on the bottom of the tumblers so if I got the black and red would it engrave red

These will not engrave in red. The engraving will reveal the stainless/silver color of the item under the color coating.

Is the entire tumbler underneath colored or just the base? Asking for laser engraving purposes. Will the design come through colored or silver?

It is just the base of the item. The actual body of the cup would be silver stainless steel, which you would see if using laser engraving.
