The plungers were easy to press, though for our own preferences, we wish they stuck our farther from the barrel. The carabiner proved sturdy and resisted all of our attempts to snap it, and the rubber grip provided a non-slip surface. This pen does have an extremely thick barrel, so it's best for those who like widebody pens.
