The handle is durable, and the screw-on lid prevents drink from spilling (though some liquid may leak from the sliding lock if the tumbler is tipped too far). As a result of that tight seal, unscrewing the lid can take some effort, but we'd rather deal with that than a spilled drink. The non-slip bottom is made from a soft, felt-like material.
